These earrings were originally part of a larger piece of jewelry from the 1860's, likely a diamond rivère necklace. Each stone is set in silver on gold cutaway settings. The stones are approximately 1.2 carats each but face-up more like 2.5 carat stones and I/J color and SI1 clarity. The crystal is quite flat showing most of its weight on the face.   English in origin. Circa 1860.
